Summer means GREENS! I am so excited for all of the beautiful greens from the farmer's market this summer. NYC farmer's markets are so amazing. My favorite stand is the Reiki lady (we call her that because she told me that she does Reiki on all of her veggies, I don't know how that is possible but they are mother scratchin good so I believe it) I could spend $50 bucks a week there. Her salad mix is divine and she even throws edible flowers in it.
The snap peas were so sweet and juicy and then later in the season she has these delightful little peppers that are so yummy sauteed with olive oil and salt.
As I was wandering through the market the other day I thought, I love this city, how could I ever live anywhere else? There is so much to do and see and taste, what a great place to live.
And then I remembered the winter. Scratch that.
