Evan's 2!

I wrote this in August and forgot to post it! I will add that nothing has changed except that he is saying a TON more and calls me mama Tassie (Victory!) and he is so exhausted with no naps he is back to his 5:30 bedtime....if I lie down with him.  I always thought it'd be cute if my kids called me mama Kass :) Oh and the other major thing to change is his name :) We are back to calling him August. We have felt for a while that it was more his name than Evan, but we decided to wait until we moved to change it. (and FYI if you don't know we moved to Charleston SC about 3 weeks ago)

Evan celebrated his birthday a few days ago! This little man has brought so much love and fun into our lives with a HUGE helping of crazy and chaos! This kid has thrown me for a loop since the beginning. Nursing was uncomfortable from the beginning because he would gum my nipples and then he got all his teeth in almost at once and would apply steady pressure the whole time. He started scooting at 5 months and was into everything! He started shrieking at 6 months and to this day still does it. He has been an early riser like his siblings, but of course to the extreme. His chosen wake up time is between 4:30-5....gah! He has been a little slow to talking, like Levi, but he is starting to say more and more each day which is SO fun! He drives me crazy by going into the bathroom 800 times a day to play with whatever he can reach, and by pulling anything he can reach down from the counter.

A couple of weeks ago he learned he could climb out of his crib. This means he went from a kid who was still taking 2 naps a day and going to bed at 5:30, to a kid who is taking no naps, going to bed by 9:30 and driving us crazy in between.

peas-please
baba-water or bottle. for a while this was ALL he said...that was super fun.

Can I please just add that motherhood is HARD! But it is beautiful. When I see my kids going to bed not only am I incredibly grateful that the day is over and I can breath, but I'm also beyond grateful to my Father in Heaven for giving me this opportunity to take care of these little people. What a blessing to be a mother.
