
Today we went to the Brooklyn Museum for a kiddie story and some general kiddie fun. All is going well and then we get to the lets make patterns with blocks and cubes and HOORAY....Fruit Loops! Great, the last thing I want my kid eating is fruit loops...true they don't have to eat them, but who can resist the colors and the smells and the annoyingly perky helper telling them to eat the fake fruity loops! Argh. Just so you don't think I am some kind of food nazi being overly controlling of what my children are ingesting why don't you just peruse the nutritional facts/ingredients:

Welcome to the blogosphere. i will read every post, like a true blog stalker. You need to go pick up the book "In Defense of Food". In fact, I can even loan you mine. I think you will really enjoy it. It is all about nutritionism and how the nutrients people process in imitation food do not make the equivalent of actual food and the way the nutrients in them act synergistically together. Great read and made me never want to eat another imitation product, except maybe Oreos. They can't be that bad, can they?
