I'm SOO sorry for not blogging, I know that everyone is really upset that I haven't so please forgive me.
So seriously nothing has been going on in our house this past little while. Literally. Nothing.
Oh wait I did get rid of my old carpet and am currently looking for a new one.
See I told you. Nothing.
Since there is nothing much to write about I will share a couple things I read.
Great article about midwifery care by Jennifer Block who wrote the book Pushed.
I love Weston A Price so when I heard that Sally Fallon who is the President of the WAP foundation, was coming to NYC I jumped on it. She gave such a great seminar that was SOO informative. I just wish I knew all that she knew. Check it out. It is a bit long, but so interesting. And yes, it is all a conspiracy. Thats all I'm saying, but if you know me you know that I really believe it :)
The Oiling of America
I watched August Rush the other night...it was so sweet. And man is Jonathan Rhys Meyer hot hot hot! Uhh...I mean if you go for the tall type. With hair. And an Irish accent. And who sings and plays a guitar and is in a band. Hmmm...I hope Cannon doesn't read this. I love you baby!
I attended a homebirth a couple weeks ago...it was stellar. Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE homebirths? Not sure if I have, but I DO!!
Oh and THE most important thing going on in my life right now (literally) is my search for the best cup of hot chocolate in NYC. It has been a long search which thankfully isn't over yet. I will post about it when I find it, but so far Max Brenner's with NO milk, I repeat NO milk, is really high on my list. But only if the un-stingy workers are there. I went 2x and the first time the guy was like "do you have a milk allergy cuz there's milk in the chocolate you know" Duh. I was all no I just don't like it with milk. So then I go back and the girls all " do you have a milk allergy?" and I'm all no I don't like it with milk and then she gets all flustered and acts as if I was a pregnant lady asking her to make me a rum and coke minus the coke. So then after talking to like 4 different workers she comes to the conclusion that it is just too difficult and they can't (won't) do it. I almost cried. So yes next time I'm going to lie. But maybe I should wait until after my temple recommend interview....would that be bad?
The top place so far is a snooty place in SoHo and one on Madison calle MarieBelle's. It is a very hoity toity chocolate shop and the Aztec hot chocolate is to die for! It comes in an espresso cup (think tea cup from a doll house) and costs $6.50...yikes! For those of you who know me you know that its got to be pretty d----d good for me to pay that much for anything. And it is.
If any of you have any suggestions let me know. I like it really thick and reeeally dark. So Jaques Torres is out, although it is good.
L is talking up a storm and among other things says "I got you" which is delightful. E is reading like a nut case (like her mom) and has improved so much and skipped a reading level!
Cannon is working a lot and is on a business trip of sorts this week...you can ask him for all the exhausting/tedious (literally) details.
We miss all of you who aren't here and wish you would come visit us...NYC is SO much fun expeshully when its nice out....which is coming up pretty soon.
xoxo
Kass, Can, E and L....and baby #3!!!

Ahhh Kassie I was like What?????, I just talked to her and she didn't say anything! Not very nice but I agree, it was a good one!
I cannot believe you...that WAS a good one!
I was going just going to tell you to try the hot chocolate at Dunkin Doughnuts. It's pretty darn good. I know it doesn't send you on a NY adventure to find it but I think it's good.
Hey, love the hot chocolate quest! The best I've had was in Chicago, one at a restaurant near millenium park, and another at a chocolate cafe called Moonstruck Chocolate. They have the darkest hot chocolate out there, it's delicious. Good luck, and nice joke there :)
Punk...you had me going there. We love the Jaques Torres you sent us but we're wondering if the dude is half Latino/half frenchie...what's up with the name?
Do more blogging....I'm you're biggest fan
You little stinker. I thought you were pregnant. You should try the hot chocolate at Normas. So yummy.
Oh wow... I just got very excited for you!! I wish I could come out and help you find that hot chocolate!! I need a vacation!
Phil and I might just have to come and see you guys. That was a lot to say for someone who had nothing going on. Enjoyed it!
I also like August Rush... mostly because he is hot and the music is awesome... I think the story is a bit hokey... that might be Cameron's influence. Hot chocolate... Community Food and Juice has excellent hot chocolate, but I don't think it is what you are looking for - melted chocolate in a mug, right? Hope to see you guys soon!
That was too mean. I was so excited for baby #3. I shouldn't have read all the way to the bottom. Can I hide behind you at a home birth some day. I would love to see one. I think your job sounds beautiful, just beautiful.
Love the Jennifer Block article. And I'm right there with you! I LOVE Home births!!! I am having a hard time being a doula for Hospital Births. I hate standing by, and watching how hard moms have to work to get the births they want in a hospital setting. It is emotionlly exhausting.
Funny joke! I was about to comment and congratulate you... then read to the bottom! It wasn't even april fools day or anything!
