B.M. Place

This is a food cart that sits on 75th and Lex, it is always crowded too....you'd think with a name like that people would steer clear!

Levi goes gluten Free

Yup, that's right. Our little leavers is gluten free. It wasn't entirely because of the book below, but that definitely motivated me to just DO IT! We have suspected for months that he was but were way too lazy to actually start the diet. But after I read the book I was like duh!

We started about 3 weeks ago and it has been great! His poops are solid, he is less whiny, not so emotional, not as picky with food and best of all, he doesn't get crazy after he eats! He would literally be bouncing off the walls if he ate gluten which was our first clue months ago. He has just been so much happier which means a much happier family all around.

The only gluten that the rest of the family eats is sandwich bread and Levi just has his own that is actually really tasty and made with Teff flour. He has been sad a couple of times saying things like "I love gluten" or "everything has gluten in it" but he is a great sport and there are SO many good things to eat that he can have. Anyway, that's what we've been focused on these past weeks. The End.

What's Eating Your Child

Did you know that recurrent ear infections and constipation can be due to a dairy allergy? Or that stomachaches and picky eating are a cause of gluten intolerance? If you didn't then you should definitely check out this book.

I absolutely LOVED it! It was SO educational and informative and it really opened my eyes to a lot. I got it for $10 on Amazon, you should check it out or if you promise to return my copy when you're done I will loan it to you ;)

Happy Burfday to.....

Can Man! Almost the same day that I was blogging about my 24th birthday (for the 6th time) that happened 3 months earlier, the Can Man was celebrating his 29th birthday in real life (for the 6th time also, but don't tell him I told you) We had a low key day but celebrated with cake first and then with a yummy dinner that we did NOT share with the kiddies.

Yummm...lovely NY steaks from the farmer, that were so thick they were mooing as we ate, just the way we like it! Caprese salad, basil dressing, baked potatoes, carmelized onions.....mmm, all this talk is making me hungry!

I love this guy so much! He is so sweet and has been such a wonderful hubby for 10.5 yrs! He is patient, kind to others, sweet to the kids, loves spending quality time with his family and is oh so thoughtful. I especially appreciate him when I'm preggo, he never cares if dinner isn't made or the house is messy etc etc etc (my bad)....I got really lucky when I met him 11 years ago. I love you Can!!

Babes in dreamland

1 week old Levi :)

My in laws came to town last week so to accommodate them the kids slept in our bed with me and Can slept on the couch...poor guy. Actually poor me, I had feet in the face for a week.

I slept with both my kids as infants. Elyse only 5 months and Levi for 18 months. To me there is nothing sweeter than sleeping with and nursing your newborn.

Anyways, the first night was so bittersweet. When I crawled into bed last week, Levi turned towards me and just hugged me and nestled in, I almost shed a tear! It reminded me of all the hours I spent cuddling and nursing him and how now, he is almost 4.5 and hardly cuddles at all! Where has the time gone? It was such a tender moment and made me feel so grateful that I get to have these beautiful kids and in a couple of months do it all over again!
