Green Street Fair

We went to check out a cool green street fair in May, it was a lot of fun and we saw these crazy guys all dressed up in, well all crocheted up in yarn! They even had a whole bed room set. It was hot that day so I was feeling pretty sorry for them. NYC is awesome, there is always something going on.....and crazy people to take pictures of!

Serendipity

When I was pregnant, I CRAVED these potato skins from Serendipity. If you've never been only go for dessert or for these. They are to. die. for. They are SOO crispy and if you know me you know how I likes ma food crispeh. Anywho, one night when Nee Nee was visiting we went. I hadn't eaten since lunch because I knew we were going out, but by the time we left it was late and there is always a 1 hour wait and by the time we got to order it was over an hour so yes, I got 2 orders and I ate them ALL! I have never felt so happy. It was euphoric. This was time #4 that I went to get these during the last 2 months of my pregnancy. They are SO worth the long wait!

interrupting cow

You know the joke that goes:

Knock knock

Who's there?

Interrupting cow

Interrupting co....

MOOO!

Yeah I know had you in tears right?

Well it turns out that I am the interrupting cow. This phrase "interrupting cow" is a very apt description of me especially now post baby because 1: I produce milk, 2: I haven't lost all the cursed baby weight and 3: I interrupt.

I admit, I am an interrupter. I really try hard not to, but I just do it! One reason is that I just can't remember that I wasn't going to interrupt anymore and another is that I will probably forget the thing I was going to say unless I say it immediately! (as you know from my previous post)

I realized that I had a problem when I asked Can the other day if I interrupt a lot. He very matter-of-factly said "yeah you do". When I asked him if my hips are way wider than before, in the same voice he answered "yeah they are" and well you get the point, my husband is incredibly honest....curse him!

I'm really sorry if we've had conversations where I have interrupted you. Please know that I am trying (when I remember) to not interrupt anymore and that I really am interested in what you have to say, it's just that, well, what I have to say is way more important.

Insane in the membrane

My brain is gone....have you seen it?

Since having Evan:

I can't remember names, facts etc.

If I want to look something up online I better have it written down in front of me because I won't remember what it is or how to spell it.

I have had several good blog ideas that are forgotten the moment I think of them, but rest assured they were awesome.

Forget about a mental grocery list.

When I talk to people sometimes I forget mid sentence what I was saying.

I have mommy brain to the max.

I fear for when I am 75. I will be a forgetful, crazy old lady.

And since I won't remember to shower or change my clothes it will add to the crazy effect.

And since I never forget a face I will probably just stare at you long and hard. The kind of stare that now, as a woman in my 20's, has Cannon nudging me to tell me not to stare and that people politely smirk at....but not when your old. That is a creepy stare. I know because I've felt it before. Gives me the shivers.

But if I ever do find my brain again thus regaining my memory, I could be a sweet old lady who makes cookies and force feeds her grandkids....

Cannon always said that when he retires he wants to hang out at the McDonalds after school and hassle the kids. Why? I don't know. But at least I won't remember that I'm married to him to be embarrassed.

And why, you may ask did I write this long weirdo post? Well, to tell the truth... I forget.

Street Fair

Every year our church closes off the whole street where our church building is and we have a street fair/tag sale. It is always fun and as you can see Elyse hit this guy square in the face....good times for us, but poor kid! Oh and PS I am perfectly aware that I am 4 months late in posting this but well, ya know.

FAO Schwartz (Cell phone pic)

When Gramma and Poppa were here in June we went to FAO and did a dance on the piano. That store is such a blast, we love it!

Jail

We went to the NYPD museum, and no offense to those who like it but we kinda thought it was a bust, especially for the price. But they had a jail cell. Levi wouldn't set foot in it!

Haven

This is Miss Haven. She is my sweet little niece. 3 weeks after this sweetie was born in May I hopped on a plane to CO to meet her myself. Sadly I think this is the only picture that we got together. But, it was a great trip and she is a doll. It's nice to visit a sister who has just given birth because it means that you hang around the house a lot and as a result you don't have to wear makeup (as evidenced) and rarely have to change your clothes.

Levi's got talent

I don't think I posted this to my blog....maybe just to facebook. So if you've seen it before I apologize. This was taken one year ago almost to the day. Levi is double jointed in his pointer fingers so if you look close you can see that they are pulled backwards. Freakeh!
