For about 2 weeks Elyse and Levi were obsessed with these cups. They loved making these towers! When I say they loved making, I mean Elyse loved making and Levi loved destroying. There were many screams and tears. Phew! I'm glad it's over.

"I got a snake man!"
Name that comedian! Ahem.
We went ALL the way over to the west side to Pier # something a few weeks ago. I can't remember because it took SOO long to get to! Seriously, going to the west side is a major drag. It isn't very far miles wise, maybe 2 max, but it can take about an hour some days.
But I digress. There was a kids festival and we decided it was worth the trek. It was SO fun! Of course I didn't take any pictures of the good fun that the kids had but I did snap some of the snakes! I love reptiles and I'm glad that my kids aren't afraid of them. These guys do birthday parties! www.ezreptileshows.com

Girls
Having a little girl in your life is fun. Every year before school starts Elyse and I go to get her nails done. Sadly it only happens once a year but I am just not a girly girl so it's not on my radar. Shopping with a little girl can be fun too, except when you tell her no.....

Evan!
Lest you think that we had forgotten all about baby Evan, or Ev man as I like to call him, here are some photos. Sadly since he is the third child and second boy, there are approximately 12 pictures of him since his first day of life.
In Providence RI with dad. (more on that exciting adventure to come)
In the wrap with big sister. She walked a good 12 blocks with him, it was SO cute!
Evman and mama at the Hershey's factory
Evan and Mia at BRGR an organic burger place in the city...check it out. (61st and 3rd)
Lets see....life with Evan is pretty smooth. He is a sweet sweet little guy and we are just so in love! At night I just can't wait to crawl into bed and cuddle with him, sometimes I want to wake him up just to see his sweet little face!
He started smiling, displaying 2 dimples!! on Sunday October 9th, it melts our hearts every time and it was just in time for Mia's visit! That same day he also rolled over 4 times and has yet to do it again. He has held his head up since about week 3 when he also started standing on his legs. I'm pretty sure physical strength is tied to mental capacity so he should be purty smrt, move over Doogie Howser! Ok so maybe early rolling over isn't a sign of smarts, but we are at least keeping our fingers crossed for a multi-million dollar sports contract. Chaching!

First Day of School
Note to reader: This is more of a journal entry than blog post, this blog helps me remember the little things in life :)
So, about a month ago we celebrated the first day of 4th grade and all day Pre K (hallelujah!)
This is the best one we got, durn point and shoot camera....
Starting the long walk to school. From our house to Levi's school to Elyse's school and back home again is 2.1 miles. That's sure gonna be fun in the winter.
Because of all the new baby craziness school couldn't have started sooner for us :) Levi was semi excited depending on the day and of course Elyse was ecstatic about starting school. We weren't sure how he would do because he just couldn't get stoked about it but as soon as we walked in the classroom he forgot all about us! He has loved every minute of it! He comes home so happy and tired everyday. He's made lots of friends, and loves his teachers. He eats all of his lunch (which is nut free...grrr) everyday which is a big deal if you know Levi!
Elyse's teacher is young and sweet and never yells (so says Elyse) She has all of her old friends from last year in class with her and loves every minute. She is growing up so fast and right now is so into fashion.
While my mom was here they went shopping for Halloween costumes. She called me to ask about getting a certain costume and when I said it was a bit expensive she burst into tears saying that she hated having to have a homemade costume every year. "But Elyse" I said, "you always look so great in the costumes that you create and you've never cared that they were homemade!" I couldn't help but laugh at her reply: "Yeah but that's because I was too little to notice!" Oh cute Elyse, what do you have in store for us?? I didn't even know what fashion was until....um well... never?
Yes she totally guilted me into buying our first Halloween costume! (when I say me buying, I actually mean Mia....thanks for spoiling the child Mia)

Overheard
Elyse had a friend over and they weren't being very....shall we say welcoming to Levi. So Levi asked if he could call his best friend Ines to come over.
The conversation went something like this.
"Hi Ines. I'm really sad because Elyse's dumb friend isn't being nice to me. Can you come over so I can have someone to play with?"
Hah!

Liar Liar
One day as I was slaving over a hot meal Levi came running into the kitchen.
"Kass! Gus just peed on the carpet in the office!!"
Rewind to a few minutes earlier, Levi had come into the kitchen to get a glass of water. As he took it into the office I thought "hmmm, he should probably drink that in here" But because I was slaving I didn't feel like a fight. Fast forward.
"Shoot are you serious? Show me."
We walked into the office and there was a HUGE spot of liquid that had a suspicious splatter pattern.
When I saw it it did cross my mind that it wasn't pee, but I had faith in my little 4 year old.
"Gus Gus! Come here!" I yelled. "Gus, did you pee?"
When Gus happily entered the room tail wagging and ears perked I knew the truth.
"Levi! Did you spill the water!!??"
".....................................................................Yes."
All I could do was laugh. And Levi cried because he had to apologize to Gus for slander against his (sort of) good name.
