I do most of my blogging on our laptop so I want to apologize for the crazy editing that I did on the photos I posted below. It looks a lot different on our crappy laptop screen than on the nice regular computer screen. My bad.

Cold Spring

Karley and I took a roadie to Cold Spring, NY. It was a gorgeous little town with cute little thrift stores and a whole bunch 'o grumpy people. We went to the real estate office pretending to be interested in buying an estate and the lady was all "It's such a great town, blah blah. It's a commuter town so you have a lot of city people here. Really it's great because you get a small town feel with the city mentality" Dude are you insane in the membrane? Why would anyone want to have a small town filled with annoying, rude NYers? No gracias. I'll spend my 5 mil somewheres else.

March Happenings

I celebrated a birthday! I won't tell you how old I turned but it does NOT rhyme with flirty. It sounds more like plenty more. Ahem. It was fun. I got a free cake and we got to go to the Knicks game thanks to K dawg.

We went to the Bronx Zoo. Thankfully we had bought a Groupon because that junk is expensive!

I love this picture of my girl because it looks like she did when she was 3. Sigh. How on earth is she getting so old yet I stay so young. One of the 7 wonders.

We went to Central Park at the height of the cherry blossoms.

We saw a hotel named after Elyse.

In other news Picassa upgraded their editing capabilities and i love it. But please tell me someone (MB I'm talking to you) How do I take really vibrant pictures straight out of the camera? Why should I have to enhance the colors at home? Isn't that why I paid a truckload of $$$$ for my camera?

'Sup

So this is over a month old, but look at the nifty trick that Evan picked up on my Birthday when he was 6.5 months old. Yes, good fun. So for the past month he has been obsessed with standing. Anything that protrudes from the ground he is trying to stand up on. Dog? Check. Wipes box? Check. Mom's leg, foot, arm or head? Check. Now for the past week or so he has been letting go with both hands to practice free standing. Awesome. And when I say practice I mean it. This boy is persistent!! He loves to "walk" around the house (we hold his hands and he books it!) My dreams of carefree days of bench sitting at the park all spring and summer are dashed as I think he'll be walking very soon.

Trip to Miami

Yay we went to Miami for the kids winter break! It was gorgeous the whole time!

This is the view from my parents condo. It is right on a lake and it has a bug screen which is def. a good thing in S. Florida.

Our first day there we headed out to South Beach to check it out. It was beautiful!

Can man and I going out on the town for my birthday celebration....a month early but we had free sitters! We went to a ceviche place that Can found called Ceviche 105....it was awesome!

These little crunchy salty corn pops that they give you are so freaking good. And if you know me you know I likes mah popcorn. I got 2 more bowls before the night was through :)

Oh my, this was potato, shrimp ceviche, avocado and some kind of spicy sauce.

Can you tell we liked it?

Then came the ceviche. Holy yum. The end.

Then came the dinner hah! It was arroz con pollo and was divine! I guess I was a little hungry :)

Dessert was the only thing that wasn't good. It was supposed to be cheesecake, but I guess the Peruvian's don't know how to make it because it was nast. But the restaurant was amazing!

Levi juiced with my mom every day. This kid LOVES his veggie juice. So funny because he won't even eat potatoes!

We went to go see my dad at his job site (a hotel near the Miami airport)

They both got to drive the back hoe!

Then we went down to the Everglades and stopped at the biggest fruit stand ever. We got a whole bunch of crazy tropical fruits. This one was a chocolate fruit.
