First Day of School

Note to reader: This is more of a journal entry than blog post, this blog helps me remember the little things in life :)

So, about a month ago we celebrated the first day of 4th grade and all day Pre K (hallelujah!)

This is the best one we got, durn point and shoot camera....

Starting the long walk to school. From our house to Levi's school to Elyse's school and back home again is 2.1 miles. That's sure gonna be fun in the winter.

Because of all the new baby craziness school couldn't have started sooner for us :) Levi was semi excited depending on the day and of course Elyse was ecstatic about starting school. We weren't sure how he would do because he just couldn't get stoked about it but as soon as we walked in the classroom he forgot all about us! He has loved every minute of it! He comes home so happy and tired everyday. He's made lots of friends, and loves his teachers. He eats all of his lunch (which is nut free...grrr) everyday which is a big deal if you know Levi!

Elyse's teacher is young and sweet and never yells (so says Elyse) She has all of her old friends from last year in class with her and loves every minute. She is growing up so fast and right now is so into fashion.

While my mom was here they went shopping for Halloween costumes. She called me to ask about getting a certain costume and when I said it was a bit expensive she burst into tears saying that she hated having to have a homemade costume every year. "But Elyse" I said, "you always look so great in the costumes that you create and you've never cared that they were homemade!" I couldn't help but laugh at her reply: "Yeah but that's because I was too little to notice!" Oh cute Elyse, what do you have in store for us?? I didn't even know what fashion was until....um well... never?

Yes she totally guilted me into buying our first Halloween costume! (when I say me buying, I actually mean Mia....thanks for spoiling the child Mia)
