We went upstate to the Poughkipsie area for the 4th of July. Elyse was having a blast in UT with her relatives for 3 weeks and we missed her! Although camping with 2 kids is much easier than with 3.

The dinkiest fireworks you ever did see. I guess growing up watching the DC fireworks and then seeing the NYC fireworks has done spoilt me.
Fishing lasted about 2 seconds before Levi was pretty discouraged and mad about not catching any fish.
Evan loved the nightcrawlers that we found. I felt them through my toes while we were walking near our campsite!
He also loved the dead cicada!
Levi on the other hand, wanted nothing to do with either...naturally.

Picking some cherries that we were told by one worker were NOT sprayed and then after paying an astronomical price and doing lots of work, we were told that they are indeed sprayed. Awesomeness. Love me some NY!
