My parents took the kids away from us for 8 whole days!! gasp! It was AWESOME!! We did tons of stuff and just enjoyed being together. Alone. And we ate a LOT.

Japanese steak house for lunch. Awesome.
Fried green tomatoes at Diosaur BBQ in Harlem. Not so awesome.
Need I say more? I told my friend/neighbor Anne Marie that we went there twice in one day and she was all, wait you mean twice in one week. Nope Anne Marie, twice in one day. In my defense they use organic ingredients. But even if they didn't I would still go.
Burgers and (bleh) fries at PJ Clarks. I say Meh to the burger. No offense to all of the lovers of PJ's, but it was just a burger, albeit a very juicy burger, but certainly not worth breaking my rule for. The waiter was awesome though.
Highline Park in Chelsea. Really cool and a lot longer than I thought. And I just love nearby Chelsea Market.
The Brooklyn Flea Market. Of course incredible as it involves peoples junk which we all know I love.
Bambu at the Met. Amazing! And how the H did they do it?
Breakfast at Norma's.....
And a totally stress free day of freedom with my best good friend K dawg. You know its "tru" love when your friend uses one of her free daycare days for you.
A gorgeous sunset. This was on our way back home after dropping the kids off. A good omen for the week ahead :)
Beautiful scenery and a whole bunch of other stuff that we didn't document but rest assured that it included a lot of lounging, napping and no responsibility, at least on my part. Thanks mom and dad, it was so great to enjoy our lovely city sans kiddos!

I like the sound of a vacation where you send the kids away and you stay home and play! Sweet. And with the amazing city that you live in, why not!
(The donuts and burger look yummy!)
Okay, why did you have to post that picture of doughnut plant. The only thing I miss in NY besides you. Now I am seriously Jonesing some. DO you think they would hold up in the mail?
YAY! I made the blog baby. And yes.. one of my 20 days donated to the kassinator.
